On-Board Air

Engine Driven On Board Air from Kilby Enterprises

April, 2005

The OBA compressor mounting bracket lifts the stock A/C compressor up. Remove all 4 mounting bolts from the top of the compressor. There is a spacer that goes under the driver side of the compressor. Slip it in place and insert 2 of the new bolts supplied by Kilby. Do not tighten the bolts, yet.

The large mounting bracket goes on the other side. Again you should slip it in place and insert the original mounting bolts, but do not tighten them.

The third part of the mounting bracket provides extra support and mounts at an angle to the driver side A/C mounting bolts. You'll need to remove the first 2 bolts you installed to get this in place. Use the bolts and Nylock nuts Kilby supplied to connect this brace to the compressor mounting bracket.

You should now tighten all 6 bolts. The A/C mounting bolts should be torqued to 21 ft lbs. Do not over tighten these bolts. Finally, reinstall and tension the serpentine belt.
